St Edmund's Catholic School, Portsmouth, 11-16 Mixed VA School.

St Edmund’s is a popular Voluntary Aided secondary school in the heart of Portsmouth and serves a wide area. It is an Outstanding school (Ofsted 2016) serving a diverse population.

The school is currently recruiting for the following Support Staff vacancies:

  • Teaching Assistant.
  • Teaching Assistant (EAL Support).

Teaching Assistant (REF: TA24)

 

27 hours 05 minutes or 31 hours 15 minutes per week Term Time Only

 

 Pay Band 4-5 Depending on Experience £23,130-£24,362 FTE

£14,682.35-£15,464.40 Pro Rata 27 hours 05 minutes

£16,943.26-£17,845.73 Pro Rata 31 hours 15 minutes

 

27 hours 05 minutes 8.45am to 3.15pm (Monday to Friday)

31 hours 15 minutes 8.45am to 4pm (Monday to Friday)

We would also consider hours of work 9am/9.30am start with a 3pm/3.30pm finish (depending on the candidate).

Start Date: September 2024

 

The successful candidate will be caring and enthusiastic and will have a genuine commitment to supporting the academic progress of pupils aged 11-16.   The candidate will be part of the Learning Support Department and will work with pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities and also with VI (Visually Impaired) students.   The candidate must be educated to at least GCSE level.   The successful candidate will also be required to undertake administrative duties as directed by the SENCO.  The role is term time only.
