Year 9 - Tutor Prayer, Fundraising events, Stations of the Cross Liturgy, Vocation Morning in May and Angelus and Spiritual Badges.
Year 10 - Tutor Prayer, Fundraising events, Stations of the Cross Liturgy, Retreat/Reflection and Spiritual Badges.
Year 11 - Tutor Prayer, Fundraising events, Stations of the Cross Reflection and Leavers Mass.
Prayer Tables
At St. Edmund's Catholic School, every classroom with a tutor group has a vibrant Prayer Table; an area for quiet reflection and the focus of our daily act of worship as a tutor group. Pupils and staff are invited to take some time to reflect on the school's Catholic life and mission and to take part in daily prayer. The Prayer Table consists of various resources to enable prayer: tutor icon, candle, posters that are relevant to the Liturgical year, prayer booklet that is specific to each year group and is written by the students, a larger resource prayer booklet, Rosary and various items that hold a special meaning to each tutor group. A tutor prayer powerpoint and notices are prepared by the Chaplain each week, using ideas from students, to assist these precious times of prayer. The powerpoint includes the Sunday Gospel, prayers relating to Saints' days and the Liturgical calendar, prayers and reflections relevant to the needs of our school, local community and world. During these times we also listen to the petitions of the students, staff and the needs of our school.
