Easter End of Term Arrangements

14 March 2018 (by Lisa Slight (lslight))

End of Term letter

The last day of term is Thursday 29th March 2018. For Years 7 to 10 we will be celebrating the onset of Easter with the ‘Stations of the Cross’ at St Mary’s Church, Fratton Road, Portsmouth PO1 5PA. This will finish at approximately 12 noon. Students may then either be collected from St Mary’s Church or make their own way home as normal. The first morning lesson will operate as normal before we make our way to St Mary’s for our Easter reflection. You are welcome to join us for the ‘Stations of the Cross’ service which will start at 11am. This will be a delightful spiritual end to the successful term of learning and a welcome moment of preparation as we approach Easter. Year 11 students will have their own reflective Easter Service on Wednesday 28th March here at School. On Thursday 29th March all the Year 11 students will be involved in ‘an effective revision strategy’ session and an ‘Easter Plan’ whilst the lower year groups attend the Church Service. This will finish at approximately 12 noon and students will leave from the school site. The Government has now released school’s performance data and I am pleased to be able to report that St Edmund’s still remains one of the top schools in the country and is ranked 93 out of 6324 schools nationally. May I thank you for the continued support you give your child and St Edmund’s.
