Dear Parent/Carer,

Following a wonderful series of Leavers events so far for Year 11 with our Leavers Mass on the 26th April and our Leavers Tea on 3rd May, I am writing to confirm the next series of events dates/timings, as well as some important information regarding exams and results collection.

GCSE: Study Leave

As you are aware, we are nearing the final few weeks of examinations. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication students have demonstrated to their studies.  As of Tuesday 11th June 2024 students will attend for their revision lessons and examinations only (copy attached).

  • Leavers Ball will finish at 10:30pm.

Seating plans and food orders will be arranged prior to the event through school. Pupils must ensure continued good attendance, behaviour and attainment in order to ensure their Prom invite remains in place.

Thursday 22nd August - GCSE Results Day

The day will run as follows; results will be collected from School on Thursday 22nd August between 10am and 11am from the hall. If you are unable to collect your results in person you must do the following;

Write a letter to Mrs Robinson (Exams Officer) stating who will be collecting the results for you. This letter must be received before Friday July 19th.

When your nominated person collects your results, they must have ID on them to prove who they are.

No results will be issued to any other person (including parents) if prior arrangement hasn’t been put in place.

I am extremely grateful that we have so many opportunities to celebrate this year and we are looking forward to you seeing you all there. If you have any questions or queries about the above events and dates, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Mrs Lunn.

Finally, I would like to thank you for all the support you have offered your child throughout their

St Edmund’s journey. I wish all Year 11s all the best as we near the end of the examinations.

 Kind regards

Year 11 Head of Learning
