'I can do all things with the help of God who strengthens me.' Philippians (4:13)

National Tutoring Programme

'At St. Edmund's, we currently have over 70 pupils taking part in the National Tutoring Programme. Pupils across KS3 take part in small group intervention focusing on any gaps caused by the COVID pandemic. All sessions are taken by nationally trained school based tutors and build pupil's confidence and resilience. One pupil taking part said 'I really enjoy these sessions as they help me get better at English. I have learnt new words and feel like my reading is getting better'. Another commented that 'Doing Maths after school should be boring but the Ipads make it fun'.

Due to the government dropping the need for niche group provision we have a small number of spaces still available on the National Tutoring Programme, which takes places on alternate Tuesdays depending on year group. If this is something you or your child would be interested in please contact Mr Were, Senior Leader on jwere@saintedmunds.org.uk
'As of June 2022, we have offered over 103 pupils a chance to take part in the NTP with nearly 524 hours of tuition delivered.'
