Creative Arts Day

(Sharing our dance talents. Pupil dance leaders and their
Year 5 proteges from the Feeder Schools)

60 excited class 5 pupils from in and around enjoyed a day of Creative Arts at St Edmund’s on Tuesday 13th March.  Activities ranged from drama, dance led by Year 10 pupils, gymnastics and music. The Year 5 pupils were joined for the days activities by a further 60 pupils from Years 7 to 10. It culminated in a wonderful performance in the afternoon attended by parents.

Mrs O Mara Headteacher said: "this is pupil leadership at its best. Our students love to host these events and enjoy sharing our facilities and making the younger pupils feel at home, it also gives the younger pupils a taste of life in our community,  in preparation for transition to St Edmund’s’’

Participating schools: the Catholic Primary Schools of  St Johns Cathedral , St Swithun’s, Corpus Christi, St Mary’s (Gosport) and St Paul’s and St Jude’s C of E Primary (Old Portsmouth)

This is just one of many primary liaison activities organised during the course of the year by St Edmund’s RC School. In the Summer Term there will be Curriculum Roadshows and a Day of Poetry and Public Speaking
